A major international company — a global leader in its niche — is expanding its Dealer Portal team and looking for a strong Senior Backend Developer to build a unified B2B platform from scratch for a worldwide network of retail and wholesale partners.
This is not just maintenance — this is greenfield development with complete architectural freedom, from idea to production. You'll work with high-load integrations, two ERP systems, legacy Java code (which you'll progressively rewrite), and modern PHP 8+.

⚡ Key Responsibilities
— Design and build the B2B portal architecture from scratch
— Route requests between multiple ERP systems
— Build API and FTP integrations
— Write new backend code using PHP 8+
— Own the MVP from proposal to production release
— Optimize databases, APIs, and caching layers
— Investigate and resolve production issues
— Collaborate with Product Owner and teams in the EU and US
— Use AI tools daily as part of development workflow
Required Experience
🔹 5+ years with modern PHP (8.0+) — deep knowledge of core and best practices
🔹 Proven experience designing and owning backend architecture independently
🔹 Hands-on with system integrations — ERP, API, FTP, multi-system environments
🔹 Ability to read and refactor/rewrite legacy Java code
🔹 Strong database design and query optimization skills
🔹 Unit and integration testing culture
🔹 Git, code review, CI/CD experience
🔹 Comfortable working with legacy systems and imperfect environments (a must!)
🔹 Genuine, demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools
🔹 English — B2+
✨ Nice to Have
— Experience with Navision, AS400, or Sana Commerce
— Experience with other eCommerce platforms
🎯 We offer
Remote work within a time zone of ±2–3 hours from Cyprus, excluding Russia and Belarus. Office work in Cyprus is also available with a hybrid schedule.
